Knowing the very farmers that produce your food is a special thing indeed. To name this single source coffee from Costa Rica, Unicycle created the Sole brand. Not only does the word have a similar Spanish definition, meaning ‘sole’ or ‘only’, but Sole (pronounced SO-lay) is also the name of the woman on the medium roast package – the ‘Mamacita’ of the farm itself. Using photos of the people who produce the coffee, shot by a photographer from the area and printed in San Jose, Costa Rica, we were able to bring a genuinely local influence to this unique international product.
