When I started Unicycle Creative 10 years ago, one of the first events I booked was Sustainable Brands 2008 in Monterey, California. It was the most inspiring and educational show a fresh green marketer could attend.
Now, the Sustainable Brands shows are a worldwide phenomenon, and they are bringing their signature event to my back yard, right here in Vancouver June 4 – 7. Naturally, I will be there, cartooning, networking and shifting my hotel money to the beer budget.
Seriously, it’s an epic event – 3,000+ participants from 30+ countries, 300+ expert speakers. Global brands like Amazon, Ford, Starbucks and Best Buy, as well as local heroes like MEC and Nature’s Path. All working to help purpose-driven brands outperform traditional ones in delivering tangible results.
I’m looking forward to topics like, Redesigning Hospitality for Sustainability and Inclusion, Design Disrupted for Good, How to Get People to Choose Sustainable Over Conventional and Leveraging Aspirational Storytelling to Drive Sustainable Behaviour Change at Scale. OK, I’m a geek.
But mostly I will be recharging my green batteries for the marathon ahead – making the world a better place one brand idea (or cartoon) at a time.
So if you want to live vicariously through the eyes of a sustainable sketch artist, subscribe to this blog, watch my Instagram or just email me for a meeting afterwards.
I should be recovered by July.
